Give Kids The World Village is an 89 acre nonprofit storybook village in Kissimmee, Florida whose mission is providing life changing vacations to children with critical illnesses and their families wishing to visit the central Florida theme park attractions. I started as a Volunteer Services Coordinator and am not one of the first people at Give Kids The World to be a Volunteer Engagement Coordinator.

My job included but was not limited to:

- Assisting with capturing content for company social media channels to recruit and engage volunteers including: planning and capturing photos and videos, creating graphics, writing copy, video editing, and helping to integrate multiple social media channels
- Lead coordinator for small and large scale events from concept to execution including details regarding location, food, decorations and entertainment while staying on budget, including a week of events for National Volunteer Week
- Lead coordinator for scheduling and attending community events for setting up a volunteer recruitment table to market volunteer opportunities and establishing a system for tracking the ROI and implementing a follow up email marketing system
- Implementing and designing volunteer surveys to collect data to better the volunteer experience

- Private Facebook group admin in charge of monitoring the group and responding to comments, creating graphics and copy and scheduling posts.
- Welcoming 100+ daily volunteers and volunteer groups, confirming that all volunteers are accounted for and proper paperwork has been completed, while maintaining administrative tasks
- Nurturing relationships with volunteers to ensure a positive experience
- Working with other departments to ensure all positions are filled for daily operations and addressing volunteer concerns
- Reaching out to local small and big businesses with donation requests
- Working with local and visiting volunteer groups of all sizes to schedule volunteer opportunities
